Darius and Melville: Adventure in the Pet Shop
"Hey Melville! Look at that one. Oh, pleeeeease, can we get it?"
'For the last time Darius, we are not getting anything with whiskers," Melville replied in an annoyed tone.
"Ok. How about this one?" Darius asked, pointing to a bird.
Melville ignored Darius, and continued to walk, or rather stomp, down the aisle.
"Melville, are you angry?"
"No."
"Yes you are."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"DARIUS, FOR THE LAST TIME. I AM NOT ANGRY."
"Then why are you yelling?"
Melville made a facepalm and continued to walk down the aisle, which seemed to go on forever.
"What type of pet CAN we get, if you won't take any of the ones I pick?"
"Beca

Sunshine Shining Through
The rain drips down
Hiding my tears
I hear the sound of the pitter patter
Float into my ears
The clouds clear out
My eyes clear too
Now I can see the sunshine
That's shining through
Things really aren't that bad
They don't really make me sad
My face is smiling
And my heart is too
Can you feel it's warmth?
I'm asking you
My heart once was broken
Right in two
But the clouds have cleared out
And my eyes cleared too
And now I see the sunshine
That's shining through
A Little Bird Whispered by Adowable-Unlimited, literature
Literature
A Little Bird Whispered
A little bird whispered
In my ear
I have some stories to tell you
So listen here
The little bird said
Without a pause
That he was afraid
Of the cat's padded paws
The little bird explained
The reason for his fear
For he didn't wish
To be caught
Oh dear!
The little bird continued
On and on he went
Until he came to a pause
And then my patience was spent
"Shoo, little bird
You're not wanted here
Stop whispering stories
Into my ear"
The little bird whispered
In my ear
Looks like my job is done
No more stories to tell here
Without another word
He spread out his wings
And flew away forever
How my eyes did sting
The little bird still whispers
Still You Didn't React by Adowable-Unlimited, literature
Literature
Still You Didn't React
Playing together on the playground
That voice of yours is such a sweet sound
I gave you a toy
And said "I love you, boy"
Then you didn't react
I kissed you under the mistletoe
You were sure to love me after Santa's ho ho ho
I gave you a kiss
And you didn't say "I love you, miss."
Instead, you didn't react
It's now the last year of school
I was such a fool
To think you loved me so
Your body actions said no
But your eyes said yes
And still you didn't react
I'm at my deathbed
This I would always dread
No happy endings
For that fool
Who placed all her her winnings on that one boy in school
Use your time wisely
And choose your man precisely
